Using Generative AI & AI in Learning Design

In July 2024, Regan Dugg, Generative AI Integration Consultant, explained that AI supports instructional designers by automating repetitive tasks, thus freeing them to focus on high-level creative tasks such as innovative design. Her insights emphasize AI’s utility within the ADDIE model, showcasing it as a valuable asset for each step in the design process.

The 3-minute video below uses Gen AI to produce images and voiceover and AI to produce the folk tale story. An instructional design team completed video planning, storyboarding, visual design elements, ensured accessibility standards, and developed/produced the video.
